A documentary titled Valley of Gods, Jamnagar, which captures the Hastakshar ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, was released on Jio Cinemas recently. It featured many Bollywood celebrities, including Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, sitting together and enjoying the festivities along with their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
In the teaser of the documentary, Aishwarya and Abhishek, twinning in their beige outfits, sat on a sofa as they enjoyed a dance performance at Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding ceremony. Their daughter, Aaradhya, sat between them and visibly spent quality time with her parents.
The video comes amid rumours of troubles in Abhishek and Aishwarya’s marriage. Recently, Aishwarya addressed the rumours by posting a heartfelt birthday wish for her father-in-law, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. She shared an adorable picture of Aaradhya with Amitabh and captioned it, “Happy Birthday Pa-Dadaji…God Bless always.”
The extravagant video of Anant and Radhika’s Hastakshar ceremony also featured actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rani Mukerji, Ranbir Kapoor, and several others as they joined Nita and Mukesh Ambani in the celebration of their son’s wedding.
The documentary also included Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh performing the aarti, and Sanjay Dutt hugging Salman. Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan was visibly awestruck by the performance of dancer and choreographer Tushar Kalia at the ceremony.
Radhika looked splendid as she walked down the aisle at the ceremony, performing to the song “Dekha Tainu” as she approached the stage. In the video, Nita Ambani expressed, “Jamnagar holds a special place in our hearts. When it came to my youngest son Anant’s wedding, I had two important wishes. First, I wanted to celebrate our roots. Second, I wanted it to be a tribute to our arts and cultures.”
Anant and Radhika’s first pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar spanned three days, featuring events like An Evening in Everland, a cocktail party, and A Walk on the Wildside at Ambani’s Vantara animal rescue center, themed around “jungle fever.” Other festivities included Mela Rouge, a carnival, Shubh Hashtakshar, and Maha Aarti. Additionally, an international cruise event was held a couple of months later.
The wedding took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, which was also a three-day event, including Shubh Vivah, Shubh Aashirwad, and Mangal Utsav.
